Yesterday (25/10/07) was my first Factory Visit as an "Internal Auditor", if you please.
I wish I felt like writing more about it, I was experiencing the whole thing as if it were a blog entry. But now, I dont feel like writing about it.
I'm in a weird, cheesed off mood.
Shortly after qualifying for my ISO 9001/14001 (EMAS), I was on holiday in Cuba when I met a Cuban engineer in Trinidad. I asked what she did in engineering. "I'm an auditor" she replied.
ReplyDelete"ISO 9001?" I asked.
"Yes!" she replied, somewhat surprised that anyone else would not only know, but CARE about what she did.
Imagine my partner's dismay as we then continued to talk at length about the problems of convincing the average workforce about the importance of a well-maintained auditing procedure.

AAHHH, yes, auditing is addictive!! LOL!
ReplyDelete(though ofcourse, you have to be some sort of a loser to actually accept it. "Yeah man! was in rehab for a coupla months... auditing" )
